Lillypilly Estate 2003 Noble Muscat of Alexandria.
It's lightly coloured but mightily flavoursome. You'll find some delightful fruit sweetness, intensity and complexity on the palate. Winsor Dobbin, The Sun-Herald (Sydney) 6 August 2006SEE CLIPPING

GOOD TASTES OF FIUMARAVILLE. There is probably no other winery in Australia that rivals Lillypilly at Leeton, in the Riverina, when it comes to being able to taste current-release dessert wines. Winsor Dobbin, Winestate, July-August 2006 SEE CLIPPING

Lillypilly 2003 Noble Muscat of Alexandria: The nose is wonderfully heady with musk and wild flower scents, while the palate is full of luscious stone fruit flavours. It has an excellent balance and a pleasant spicy finish. Toni Paterson, Wine: What to Drink 2006 (National) Published December 2005 — SEE CLIPPING

BEST DESSERT WINES: Lillypilly Estate produces four fantastic pudding wines in 375ml bottles; 2002 Noble Sauvignon Blanc, 2003 Noble Riesling, 2002 Noble Blend and my favourite: 2003 Noble Muscat of Alexandria. All are brilliant. Winsor Dobbin, Ciao! (Sydney) December 2005 — SEE CLIPPING

PENGUIN GUIDE: Lillypilly Estate 2003 Noble Muscat of AlexandriaTasting a selection of Robert Fiumara’s sweet wines reminded HH of Austria, when he visited the famous Alois Kracher in Burgenland, where the Neusiedlersee raises humidity and promotes botrytis attack. In a great vintage like 1999, Kracher can show you 11 different botrytis wines, and they’re all terrific. It’s a bit like that at Lillypilly.

This is a lighter-coloured wine than its siblings: medium gold, and smells of fragrant muscat grapes, bath-powdery and highly aromatic but perhaps with less botrytis character than the top wines. The palate, though, is very fine and restrained, at the same time intense and complex, with good sweetness and flavour. Its balance is a highlight and it retains liveliness at the finish. Serve with fruit salad and ice-cream. Huon Hooke & Ralph Kyte-Powell  The Penguin Good Australian Wine Guide 2005-2006 (National) September 2005

FOUR-AND-A-HALF GLASSES: Lillypilly Estate 2003 Noble Muscat of Alexandria  Glowing yellow-green; very rich and complex; candied fruit off-set by good acidity. Screw cap. RATING 90 DRINK 2008 SEE CLIPPING  James Halliday   Australian Wine Companion 2006 (National) July 2005

WINE: Lillypilly Estate 2003 Noble Muscat of Alexandria Fragrant muscat aroma, less botrytis and sweetness but still intense and complex with beautiful balance and a lively finish — good with fruit salad. SEE CLIPPING Huon Hooke    Good Weekend (Sydney & Melbourne) June 4, 2005

FOUR WINNING FILLIES: Lillypilly Estate 2003 Noble Muscat of Alexandria... fresh, juicy and appears lighter with marmalade, limey fruit giving way to a soft flavoursome chewy kind of style. The acids liven up the wine and it finishes dry with lingering fruit. SEE CLIPPING  Jim McMahon Education (Sydney) May 30, 2005

WHAT'S IN THE CELLAR: Lillypilly Estate 2003 Noble Muscat of Alexandria  ... has perfumed winter flowers on the nose with a rich and rounded palate, finishing with a refreshing tingle. SEE FULL STORY  Elaine Wilson  Gold Coast Sun [Southport] April 27, 2005

THE GOOD LIFE   Lillypilly Estate has released from its 2002 and 2003 vintages four botrytis whites, gorgeously sweet and aromatic without being cloying and wonderful accompaniments to desserts or even as an alternative to port with a cheese. FIVE SWEETS FOR EASTER: Lillypilly Estate 2003 Noble Muscat of Alexandria     Pure essence of muscat — concentrated rose water, grapes and pear. Loads of rich, tongue-coating pear and grapey fruit, before finishing with salty acidity and caramel mouth-aromas. A lusciously sweet and dizzyingly floral botrytis wine. 93/100 SEE CLIPPING  Tim White

FINAL COUNT DOWN: Lillypilly 1999 Noble Muscat of Alexandria  This variety of muscat is very aromatic, so much so that as the wine is poured, the aroma drifts around the room. Intense limes and oranges round out a rich sweetness, All that it needs to make it better is a bowl of raspberry sorbet. SEE CLIPPING Maryann Egan Donna Hay Magazine [National] Winter 2004
