It's lightly coloured but mightily flavoursome. You'll find some delightful fruit sweetness, intensity and complexity on the palate. In a great vintage like 1999, Kracher can show you 11 different botrytis wines, and they’re all terrific. It’s a bit like that at Lillypilly. This is a lighter-coloured wine than its siblings: medium gold, and smells of fragrant muscat grapes, bath-powdery and highly aromatic but perhaps with less botrytis character than the top wines. The palate, though, is very fine and restrained, at the same time intense and complex, with good sweetness and flavour. Its balance is a highlight and it retains liveliness at the finish. Serve with fruit salad and ice-cream.
